VILLA PANIZ

Nominated for Iran's National Heritage registration, Villa Paniz is a distinguished hillside residence in Tonekabon designed for Mr. Parizi. The project reimagines the vernacular architecture of the Caspian Sea coast through basket-weave brickwork, an authentic timber-and-brick structural framework, and a tiered pavilion-like massing. Drawing inspiration from ancient Persian pavilions and northern woodcraft traditions, the villa features deep cantilevered timber eaves, continuous garden pergolas, and a full-marble historic Persian hammam on the lower level. Organized around a central void, the layered spaces culminate in a belvedere roof terrace with a 360-degree panoramic vista stretching from the forest to the Caspian Sea.
